The design for the first floor of this Crown Heights duplex focused on creating a space that comfortably served both the adults and young children in the household. Without altering the open layout, we used strategic furniture placement, area rugs, and soft shifts in color to define distinct zones for play, relaxation, and everyday living. Family-friendly materials—like durable performance fabrics and easy-access storage—were paired with warm lighting and thoughtful styling to maintain a sense of cohesion and comfort. The result is a flexible, inviting environment that supports both lively family life and moments of calm.
